Accreditation
PTL is accredited for
testing carpet and carpet cushion through an ongoing program of
the U.S. Government called the
National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditatio
n Program (NVLAP). NVLAP is a U.S. Government entity
administered by the National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), an agency of the
Department of Commerce. NVLAP requires compliance to ISO/IEC
17025 as the basis for the accreditation of testing
laboratories. Laboratories that comply fully and are found
competent to carry out specific test, are formally accredited
for those tests.
